Met office issues weather warning

The problems caused for home owners by flooding are well documented. The recent flash floods in Manchester are indicative of just how volatile our weather can be and the harm it causes our environment. The Meteorological Office has warned that we should all be aware of the effects of extreme weather and make sure that we are fully insured against it. The Met Office issued warnings of high temperatures and heavy downpours for July, this increases the likelihood of flooding over the period. The damage caused to homeowners can run into thousands of pounds from strong winds damaging properties to flood damage not helped by the ground being so dry the water can not drain away into the soil thus building up on the surface. All home owners should check their policy covers them for weather damage and flooding.
